I am Sian Clare, a friendly and qualified counsellor with many years of experience of working with a diverse range of clients within a confidential and non-judgemental environment.
I qualified from York St John University in 2006 with the Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling.
I am qualified in Online & Telephone Counselling and Supervision and my private practice is delivered exclusively online, via a video platform, or by telephone.
I have counselled adults, students and young people 13+ in both my private practice and the voluntary sector, I also currently work counselling young people in secondary schools and have counselled college and university students. For me, the heart of counselling is a good relationship between client and counsellor. This helps to create a safe and respectful setting for exploration, reflection and understanding of what is important to you.
Having also worked supporting young people and families for the Local Authority, I am very aware of the stresses and difficulties faced by many people today.
I am a registered accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and work in accordance with their Ethical Framework which includes having regular supervision with a qualified supervisor.
- I undertake regular Continued Professional Development (CPD).
